How can I upload my Photo ID is it's too big?

Have you been trying to upload your photo ID and gotten a message saying your picture is too big?

Don’t panic; we’re happy to help!

If you’re having trouble uploading an image, try the following:

Our first suggestion would be to CROP YOUR PICTURE. What you need to do is snap a pic of your ID from farther away and simply crop out just the ID. Sometimes cropping will leave the final result too grainy to see the small print of the required D.O.B. — so don’t take the photo too far away

Alternatively, you may want to try a resizing tool. We’ve found it strangely difficult to find a free photo resizing tool that we like, but we finally have one to recommend — PicResize. It works, it’s free, and it can upload large-format photos (up to 100MB).

How do I upload my Gov't ID once I'm a member?

How do I know which products are best for my customers?

Finding the perfect product and dose can be a journey. TWISTED EXTRACTS has a reputation for producing consistent and reliable edibles, which means you have more control over your cannabis experience, every time.

We encourage you to take the free product finder quiz to find the best cannabis product for your needs.

Indica or Sativa: Which is right for you?

Every individual responds to the effects of different strains of cannabis differently. Most people find Sativa strains to be uplifting, energizing and focusing. Some people even find it can help spark creativity. Indica is most often described as being relaxing, sedative and appetite inducing. In general, we recommend that if you want to consume cannabis during the day time, stick to our Sativa products, and if you’re looking for something to help you wind down in the evenings, try our Indica products.

New user? How much should I take?

Tolerance levels for THC vary from person to person. Some people feel the effects of cannabis edibles in as low of a dose as 2.5 mg THC. We always recommend starting with a low dose (5 – 10 mg THC) and gradually working up until you find a ‘high’ that is comfortable for you. Our Jelly Bombs are designed to make it easy to section off an accurate dose depending on your tolerance level.

We also recommend trying the 1:1 Jelly Bomb (40 mg THC + 40 mg CBD) if you’re new to edibles. The CBD in our 1:1 gummies helps combat feelings of anxiety and paranoia that can sometimes be felt if you consume too much THC.

Still not sure? Send us an email with any questions you have about us or our products to [email protected]

What type of oil (extraction process) do you use?

We currently use a proprietary solvent-based extraction technique to create our oil.

What strains are used in TWISTED EXTRACTS products?

Unfortunately, at this time, the strains used in both the Indica and Sativa products are proprietary as this is what determines TWISTED EXTRACTS products are unique and deliver consistent ‘highs’.

TWISTED EXTRACTS uses a naturally high CBD strain called Halley’s Comet in their 1:1 Halley’s Comet Jelly Bombs.

What is the shelf life of TWISTED EXTRACTS gummies and how should they be stored?

First and foremost, all of your cannabis and cannabis products (especially edibles) should be stored out of reach of children and pets.

Jelly Bombs are best stored in a cool, dry place. Stored in these conditions, they have a shelf life of 1 year. You may also store your Jelly Bombs in the refrigerator, but we do not recommend freezing your Jelly Bombs as this can affect the structural stability of the gummy upon thawing.

How do you know how much cannabis is in TWISTED EXTRACTS products?

The process starts with testing the Cannabis oil extract to determine exactly how much THC and CBD is present. From there, TWISTED EXTRACTS formulates their products to be exactly the desired dose.

They do another round of lab-testing on their final product to check for potency and consistency. All  lab-testing is performed by a Health Canada approved testing facility based in Sydney, BC.

Curious to learn more and see a copy of TWISTED EXTRACTS lab-testing results? See a sample of lab results.

How are TWISTED EXTRACTS products tested?

Since TWISTED EXTRACTS opened, they have been committed to producing the highest quality cannabis-infused products. They test both their oils and their end products so you know your edibles are accurately dosed and safe, every time.

Check out a lab testing example to see exactly what they test for and what the results mean for you.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS

A

B

Balanced Hybrid – A balanced Hybrid strain contains approximately a 50/50 balance of Indica and Sativa. This type of cannabis provides an overall balanced effect that impacts both the mind and body.

Bowl – The part of a pipe that is used to hold the cannabis. If attached to a water pipe, or bong, it is a removable attachment that you can clean separately.

Bubbler – Bubblers are portable, single-piece devices that are ultimately water pipes yet fall into the category of the bong. Bubblers will have a mouthpiece, bowl, a stem, and a chamber that holds water. This design allows the smoke to become cooled in the process, providing a smooth hit for the smoker.

Budder – Budder is a type of THC-rich cannabis concentrate that gets its name from the consistency of the final product, which looks and feels like soft butter (or peanut butter if you can’t visualize the first).

C

Carb Cap –A carb cap is used with a cannabis dab rig that helps create a restricted airflow so the cannabis concentrate vaporizes more efficiently. It is extremely popular for low-temperature dabbing.

CBD –CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, CBD has no psychoactive effect, but rather CBD interacts with the human Endocannabinoid System by encouraging the release of your own endocannabinoids. It is said that CBD has many proven and anecdotical therapeutic benefits, including anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-anxiety, and seizure-suppressant properties.

Crumble -Cannabis crumble is a type of cannabis concentrate that is known for its unique texture and high levels of THC. This Extract has a honeycomb-like texture which makes it easy to crumble with your hands and can be smoked, vaped or dabbed.

D

Dab Mat – A dab mat (also known as a dab pad) is a mat placed underneath a dab rig in order to protect the surface from any residue that may drip off the dab nail.

Dab Tool – Dab Tools are instruments used to pick up a portion of cannabis

extract, such as wax, shatter and apply it to a heated surface of an oil rig. An important factor for a dab tool is that they are heat-resistant, so they don’t melt or degrade when dabbing on a hot surface, and that the materials will not alter the flavour or composition of the concentrate.

Distillate – Cannabis Distillate is a new production technique for distilling cannabinoids o create a concentrate from plant matter. This production technique creates a cannabis extract with almost a pure molecular level, giving this extract the nickname “The Pure.” Because cannabis THC Distillate doesn’t have a taste, or scent , it can be consumed in almost any form and is often used as a base ingredient in many edibles and vape cartridges.

Diamonds – These crystalline versions of isolated THCA are said to be the “holy grail” of potency, typically containing 99.96% pure THCA. THCA is a cannabinoid acid, found in raw and live cannabis plant, and is the substance from which THC is derived upon heating.  In sauce, diamonds are the crystal structures that form at the bottom of the container. Cannabis Diamonds may also refer to the crystalline structures left over after Terp Sauce has been removed from the initial sauce mixture. These diamonds are usually coated in residual sauce.

E

Edible – Is a cannabis-infused food/drink product that contains cannabinoids, especially tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Extract – Cannabis extracts are solid or liquid products that are produced by processing the cannabis flower into a concentrated form, to be either ingested or inhaled

F

Flowers – This term refers to the smokable part of the cannabis plant that contains the cannabinoids and terpenes that will get you high or offer health benefits. These smokable flowers grow on female cannabis plants and must be dried before consumption.

Full-Spectrum – Full spectrum means that a cannabis oil or product maintains the full profile of the cannabis plant. They contain a variety of cannabinoids, including THC, THCa, CBD, CBDa, CBG and CBN, as well as terpenes and other compounds such as flavonoids, proteins, phenols, sterols, and esters. Quality full spectrum CBD products are typically high in CBD, with only trace amounts of minor cannabinoids, and very low in THC (less than 0.3%).

G

H

Hashish is made by collecting and compressing the resin glands (trichomes but sometimes called “kief”) produced by cannabis flowers and then compressing them into sticks, blocks, or balls.

Hash Oil – Hash oil is a thick resinous oil extracted from cannabis using a solvent, and ingested, smoked, or vaporized.

Hybrid – Hybrids are fall somewhere in between the indica-sativa spectrum, depending on the traits they inherit from their parent strains. In many cases, a strain will be either Indica or Sativa dominant.

I

Indica – Indica strains generally provide a sense of deep body relaxation. Because of the higher levels of CBD, Indica strains are ideal for patients looking to treat symptoms such as chronic pain, muscle spasms, anxiety, nausea, appetite stimulation, and sleep deprivation, to name a few. The high produced from smoking Indica bud is a strong physical body high that will make you sleepy or ‘couch-locked’ and provides a deep relaxation feeling. Indica strains are believed to be physically sedating, perfect for relaxing with a movie or as a nightcap before bed.

J

K

Kief – Kief is the name commonly used to describe the harvested sticky, powder-like crystals found on the marijuana flower that can produce a more intense high. Kief is made by separating the trichomes, which contain the marijuana plant’s cannabinoids and terpenes, from the rest of the cannabis flower. Because it is more potent than cannabis flower, less is needed in order to feel the desired effects.

L

Live Resin – Live resin is a concentrate cannabis oil, like wax or shatter, that has been extracted from fresh flowers to preserve important compounds known as terpenes. This preservation makes a cleaner, more potent, and highly flavourful concentrate. Live resin is produced by freezing newly harvested cannabis in subcritical temperatures before and through the extraction process. Although live resin is similar to other concentrates in that it has a higher THC content, its not the THC percentage that makes this concentrate unique.

As much of 60 percent of a plant’s terpene content can be lost during the curing process. By immediately shock freezing a freshly harvested plant, terpenes and cannabinoids don’t have the chance to degrade.

M

Moon Rocks (Doc’s Rocks)

Moon Rocks are mixture of flower, concentrate and kief, that are highly potent and should be consumed mindfully. Moon Rocks are not made to be ground up, either in your grinder or between your fingers. By grinding your moon rocks you risk losing the kief to the grinder’s teeth or melted onto your fingers. Instead of crumbling or grinding your moon rocks, the best method is to slice small sections off the rock, either using small scissors, a sharp knife, or a razor. King Tuts Doc’s Rocks are similar to moon rocks in construction however DOC’S ROCKS are made specifically with Gorilla Glue Smalls Flower, Dipped in Distillate and then Rolled in Bubble Hash.

S

Sativa – The effects of sativa are well known for its cerebral high. When you think of sativa, you think of an enhanced and raised elevated feeling. Sativa’s tend to provide more invigorating, uplifting cerebral effects that pair well with physical activity, social gatherings, and creative projects.

Shatter – Cannabis shatter is a special kind of BHO (Butane Hash Oil) which is easily one of the highest THC concentrates out there, reaching levels close to 90% purity. Cannabis shatter is typically a beautiful sheet of golden-brown colour that is glass-like, resembles honey and can range in transparency. When shatter is warm, its consistency can be described as thick honey. When it’s cold, this extract is hard and solid like hard candy. If the sheet is dropped or tapped – surprise, it shatters! Depending on the texture of the final product, you can find shatter occasionally be referred to by other names, such as “sap” or “pull n snap”.

Smalls – cannabis smalls are the smaller, cheaper versions of their larger counterparts. They get their name from the size of the buds, which are about as big as the popped kernels that they overcharge you for at the movie theatre. Because they lack the A-plus plus, showroom-quality appearance of full-price bud, many producers and dispensaries will sell them at a discounted price in order not to waste any product.

Sugar wax – Sugar wax is a cannabis concentrate with a full flavour and a slightly grainy texture.

T

Terpenes – Terpenes are the essential oils of plants. More specifically, they are the fragrant organic hydrocarbons that give the plant its aromatic diversity. That’s why Chocolope Kush offers a scent of chocolate, and Lemon Sour Diesel smells of… you guessed it, lemon!

Terpenes are by no means unique to cannabis and are found abundantly in nature.

In cannabis, terpenes are made in the trichomes of the plant. Trichomes are the sticky, mushroom-shaped, oil-producing glands that cover the leaves and buds. These trichomes act as a defence by protecting the plant from insects and animals through the production of fragrant terpenes that repel these threats. As cannabis enthusiests, these terpenes can aide in making informed choices between strains and the possible physiological effects that the strain may have.

Although we mostly think about terpenes role in the plants aroma, terpene molecules are also beneficial to human health. Terpenes are proving themselves to have as much medical value as the well-known THC and cannabidol CBD. Having anti-microbial and antiseptic properties; terpenes are not only powerful antioxidants, analgesics, and anti-inflammatories but, can either increase or decrease the effects of THC and other chemicals in the body that interact with the endocannabinoid system.

Terp Sauce – Terp Sauce is a potent cannabis extract which preserves the natural terpenes of the plant more than other methods of extraction

Terpenes are volatile molecules that possess relatively low boiling points. Certain extraction techniques can cause them to evaporate. Luckily, Terp Sauce is a different story. It involves a technique that preserves these precious molecules—the end product is highly aromatic.

THC – THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is one of the 113 chemical compounds found only in the plant genus Cannabis, which scientists call cannabinoids and is the chemical compound responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects and gives you the feeling of being high.

U

Vape Battery – A vape battery is the core part of any vaporizer and it provides the power needed to heat the coil. A battery supplies the power, the coil heats the herb, wax or liquid, and vapor forms.

Vape Cart – Vape cartridges are small cartridges that are pre-filled with a gram or half-gram of concentrated cannabis oil (commonly THC and CBD) that are used in conjunction with vape pens and other types of batteries to inhale the vape smoke, which produces the effects of cannabis.

Vape Pen – Vape pens are a type of vaporizer designed specifically to vaporize cannabis distillates and oils. They are called pens because the compact design of the vape device closely resembles that of a traditional pen. A vape pen consists of two pieces: a battery and cartridge.

Vaporizer – A weed vaporizer is a device that uses a heating element to bring some form of cannabis—whether flower or concentrate—to the vaporization point, instead of the combustion point.
